Our Work

Six Business Sectors Serving the 2030 Agenda

From idea to impact: GSDF’s six sectors form a closed loop of "advocacy — research — dialogue — projects — communication — talent", each aligned with United Nations frameworks.

Our Work

A Closed-Loop System of Global Action

Every sector connects to the work of relevant United Nations bodies, so that awareness raising leads to research, research to dialogue, dialogue to projects, and projects to replicable results and new talent.

Sector 1 · Advocacy & Global Public Communication

  • Multilingual SDG films, annual initiatives and global messages from former heads of state, UN officials and Nobel laureates.
  • Joint declarations and initiatives with thousands of NGOs at moments such as the UN General Assembly and climate conferences.
  • Touring public exhibitions, online lectures and campus SDG classes for youth and the general public.
  • Long-term content partnerships with global media, sharing practices such as ecological civilization and rural revitalization.
  • Case collections and practical handbooks published in multiple languages including Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

Sector 2 · Resources & International Cooperation Platforms

  • A standing global talent network of former presidents and prime ministers, former UN officials, Nobel laureates and sustainability executives.
  • Tiered platforms for political dialogue, green low-carbon business cooperation and university–think-tank exchange.
  • Strategic memoranda with international foundations, chambers of commerce and university research institutes across five continents.
  • Custom matchmaking for local governments, industrial parks, multinationals and academia: speakers, joint research, overseas visits and green investment.
  • Monthly online roundtables and an annual closed-door resources summit that keep the partner network active.

Sector 3 · Cross-Border Public-Welfare Project Delivery

  • Ecological restoration, clean-energy access, rural poverty reduction, women’s entrepreneurship and food-security projects in developing countries.
  • Bilateral demonstration models — low-carbon parks, sustainable villages and zero-carbon communities — built with Chinese and overseas partners.
  • Compliant funding channels linking global donors and green-development funds, with full-process supervision and public progress reporting.
  • A standardized project chain: field research, solution design, cross-border execution, mid-term supervision, acceptance review and bilingual evaluation reports.
  • Cross-border youth programs: study trips, grassroots environmental service and youth-to-youth support actions.

Sector 4 · Multilateral Cooperation Mechanisms

  • Regular multi-country consultations and closed-door seminars on climate, green trade, livelihoods and ecological governance.
  • Signature global and regional forums co-hosted with UN-related bodies and governments, offering an equal stage free of national bias.
  • Multilateral joint-action declarations that align civil-society consensus across countries.
  • Standing participation in ECOSOC, the UN Environment Assembly, SDG working groups and the High-Level Political Forum as a registered NGO.
  • Regional channels for Europe, Africa, Northern Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia focused on green transition and livelihood cooperation.

Sector 5 · Academic Research & Industry Standards

  • Joint research with leading universities and UN-linked development research centers on green finance, carbon neutrality and biodiversity.
  • Annual multilingual Global Sustainable Development White Paper and regional green-development reports, released publicly worldwide.
  • Co-developed practical guidance for green industry operations, international project implementation, sustainable cities and low-carbon villages.
  • Academic and youth innovation awards, plus regular international research symposia.
  • Policy recommendations submitted to UN bodies and national development agencies from a civil-society perspective.

Sector 6 · People-to-People Diplomacy & Cultural Exchange

  • "International Leaders in China" visits to demonstration sites of ecological civilization, rural revitalization and green industry.
  • Two-way delegations: Chinese entrepreneurs, scholars and practitioners abroad; international representatives visiting China.
  • Green art tours, sustainability salons and global youth civilization dialogues that dissolve cross-cultural misunderstandings.
  • Long-term bonds: sister cities, university program partnerships and NGO twinning.
  • Objective international storytelling of achievements in ecological civilization, dual-carbon action and rural revitalization.
